Chelsea’s summer adventures have been Italian based since the arrival of Murizio Sarri early in July. The Chelsea boss have already signed Napoli midfielder Jorginho while Higuain, Caldara and Rugani are expected to follow suit. Bakayoko have recent join the transfer speculation, as the player have been linked with a move to AC Milan according to reports.
The Rossenieri which recent acquired Chelsea former boss Antonio Conte after American owner Elliot showed a lot of managerial staffs the exit door, have promised to acquire quality players in the current transfer window. The club which seems to have justified their intent by making moves for Alvaro Morata and Higuain earlier in the summer, is believed to be reportedly looking to bolster their midfield.
According to Gianluca Di Marzio, Redbull Salzburg’s Diadie Samassekou remains their top on the list. He also responded that the club will go for Bakayoko if the fail to sign the midfielder. Marzio however refused to give information on the nature of the deal, maybe to avoid competition from Dortmund, Sevilla and Inter which reportedly have the player on their radar.
Bakayoko joined the 2016/2017 league champions after an impressive season with French side Monaco for a £36m fee. The Frenchman who began with a bang early in the season collapsed midway in the season, but was able to pick up himself towards the closing stages of the season with impressive displays as Chelsea won the FA cup.
The player’s sole appearance under Maurizio Sarri have been as a second half substitute in the friendly game against Perth Glory. The next game against Inter on Saturday is believed to determinant to his fate at the club.
