Juventus Boss Massimiliano Allegri has confirmed that former Manchester United and Real Madrid attack Cristiano Ronaldo will continue to feature in his team, despite the ongoing police investigation into a rape allegation.

Allegri made his intention known to the media on Friday, stating that he has no reason drop the player out of his squad that will face Genoa on Saturday evening.

Ronaldo had featured for the Old Lady in all the games he is eligible to in the current football season, with the Portuguese netting four and assisting five in his eight games at the Italian top flight division.

“He’s very calm and working well, and I’m not the one to respond to things that don’t concern me because they are personal.

“Besides, he’s arrived here with great humility and settled in well, giving attention and a sense of responsibility to a side who have always had this.

“He’s scoring goals too, which is what he does best, in addition to the assists,” Allegri said.

Ronaldo remains the focus of a criminal investigation department in Las Vegas, accused of rape by Kathryn Mayorga, with the police reopening the case for the first time since 2009.
