Cristiano Ronaldo extended his goal account for club side Juventus to eleven after converting from the spot as the Bianconeri trashed Fiorentina in the Seria A.
Cristiano Ronaldo maintained 100 percent conversion from the spot, and gotten the admiration of trainer Massimiliano Allegri with the tactician joking that he had to convert from the spot to be forgiven for his heroics at Real Madrid.
It is recalled that the Portuguese attacker during his time at Real Madrid last season converted a controversial 98th minute spot kick to send the Old Lady crashing out of the competition.
Allegri who was managing the Bianconeri side as of last season made the joke in a press conference after the Fiorentina game.
“Ronaldo takes the penalties,” he told a news conference.
“He has to do something to be forgiven.
“He’s got to take penalties and score… always.”
Juventus are 11 point clear at the summit of the Italian stop flight division and the manager was full of joy for their achievement.
“It wasn’t easy, as the atmosphere was passionate and the whole city had been waiting for this game,” he said.
“I asked the lads to stay solid and after a period where we didn’t play all that well, allowing them to keep the ball for 10 minutes straight, we reorganized.
“The second goal helped us shake off the tension and we relaxed into our lead. We had more chances and could certainly have gone 2-0 up earlier.
“You have to be wary, as in Florence the games are never over until the final whistle, they have great technique and pace, but we defended well on their crosses.”
