Steven Nzonzi could be Arsenal’s next player, as the club is reportedly closing in on the player. The club is almost set to land the 2018 world cup winner, amidst interest from Roma and local rivals Spurs. Arsenal seems to be leading in the race to land the Frenchman, with reports claiming the club have entered advance talks with the Sevilla midfielder.

Arsenal according to Spanish newspaper Estadio Deportivo, pulled out of race for the 29yr with the report stating that Unai Emery is keen on searching for players elsewhere as he has no interest in the French international.

Emery’s recent congratulatory message to Nzonzi after his world cup triumph, seems to have a set the tune for a possible reunion between the manager and the midfielder. Emery’s whose relationship with the Frenchman back in Sevilla yielded Europa league success, would be trying to lure the £35M player to bolster his midfield.

Arsenal legends have also backed the possible arrival of the player to the North London club with Ray Parlour recently voiced out his opinion. Ray Parlour believes the Sevilla midfielder who has better understand of Unai Emery, could provide the solution for the clubs midfield woes. “I really like Steven N’Zonzi and would like to see him at Arsenal,” Parlour told bwin.
