Barcelona have reportedly given up on the current chase for Manchester United’s Paul Pogba in the current summer, but will launch a bid next summer.

Pogba future at the Theatre of dreams have been uncertain, following his strain relationship with manager Jose Mourinho. The pair are yet to mend their differences.

Following a successful World cup outing with the French national team, the player’s agent Mino Raiola have released the player’s intention to depart old Trafford with several team on the lookout for his signature. Barcelona tested the waters with a £50 Million plus Andre Gomez and Yerry Mina deal but the Manchester club turned it down.

Pogba however heated the polity with his post-match response after the 2-1 league triumph over Leicester City. The Frenchman stated that he will be fined by the club if he responded to the question. Mourinho however have continued to deny that there is a rift.

According Daily Express, the Catalonia based outfit is prepared to wait till next summer to land the World cup winner. Barcelona is believed to have thrown in the towel on landing the Frenchman, before the elapse of the window by August ending.

The closure of the Premier league window last two weeks means that the Manchester club will have to try and keep hold of their players till January window. The Manchester club who are not known for January exits of players, might decide not to cash in on the former Juventus midfielder.
