Brazilian international Willian has revealed what Chelsea must do to keep up with high flying Manchester city in the title race. The Blues suffered their first defeat of the 2018/2019 football season it has kept the side out of touch from league leaders Manchester City.

However Willian believes that only a 100 percent will do if they are to catch up with the high flying Manchester club.

The Samba ace said: “Not in the Premier League, no. We know it’s very difficult and we must do it step by step.”

Willian went on to reaffirm that the London club could not afford to drop points again. “I think we have to win every game. We cannot afford to lose any more points,” added Willian.

Prior to Willian statement, Sarri has already ruled his side out of contention for the league despite their positive start to the league season. The former has been in a serious dilemma on N’Golo Kante’s position following Chelsea’s collapse to Spurs last weekend at the Wembley stadium.

Kante is regarded as the best holding midfielder on the planet, but the Italian is adamant to feature him in the role due to his lack of technical skills.

Willian observing the situation has released his opinion on the matter which has been subject of debate. He said: “We know the game against Tottenham was difficult – that it was a disaster, as you say. But sometimes this happens.

“Sometimes it’s not your day, you make mistakes. We have to learn from these mistakes.

“Every single player needs to improve. It’s not only N’Golo. You always have to do improve in football – even when you’re winning.”
