According to the news emanating from London, that the Blues are on the verge of signing Gonzalo Higuain from Juventus.

The South American forward has been tipped to leave the Turin giants after the arrival of Cristiano Ronaldo from Real Madrid.

Higuain, the former Napoli striker has been and is a favorite choice striker to the new Chelsea manager Maurizio Sarri after Antonio Conte was relieved of his duty last week.

The Argentine striker enjoyed his best club career spell during his time at Napoli under Sarri, as he netted a total of 36 goals in the 2015/2016 Serie A season, which won him the Capocannoniere title as he equaled an 87-year-old goal scoring record in a single season in Italian to-flight campaign.

However, Maurizio Sarri, who is now at Chelsea wants to resign his former player and according to reports that talks between Chelsea and Juventus is ongoing to sign the Argentine.

News according to Tuttosport, reports that there have been a break through between the two clubs over their discussion and agreement could be reach as early as Wednesday July, 18.

The news claims that the Blues will pay a total of £53million (€60m) in order to sign Gonzalo Higuain, a former River Plate player for later joined Real Madrid during the summer of 2007.

Chelsea will however, try to ship out Alvaro Morata after just a season with AC Milan his likeliest destination.
