Maurizio Sarri’s looks keen to bolster his squad, as Chelsea closes in on signing Gonzalo amid interest from Spurs. The London based side have been discussing with Juventus for several days, over a possible transfer of the Argentine Higuain with a price tag believed to be in the region of £55M.

Juventus Pundit Nicola Balice, reported that both clubs are willing to reach a compromise as the ‘love history’ between the Old Lady and ‘El Pipita’ seems to be ending on a bad note. This could be due to the recent acquisition Cristiano Ronaldo from Real Madrid, as the reigning Seria A champions intends cutting down on its wage bill after their mammoth investment on the Portuguese playmaker. Higuain netted 55 times for Juve since his big money move from Napoli.

The Argentine despite also been on the radar of Tottenham hotspur and Bayern Munich, seems to fancy a reunion with former boss Sarri. The pair previous worked together at Napoli, with the Argentine netting 71 times in 104 appearance under the tactician.

It would be interesting to see what becomes of forward Alvaro Morata, who have openly declared interest in playing his football in Italy. AC Milan have been linked with interest for the Spaniard but lacks the financial prowess. Rumours have it that the Chelsea center forward who have only spent a year with the club, could be included in a swap deal.

Higuain is expected to be the second high profile transfer, after the acquisition of Jorginho from Napoli. The Blues have also completed the transfer of Rugani who penned down a 5 year deal.
