Chelsea on Saturday humbled rivals Arsenal 3-2, at the Stamford Bridge to make it 2 wins out of 2. The Blues which looked almost unsettled in the summer, due to managerial problems suddenly appears to be ready to compete for another league title.
Chelsea raced into a magnificent 2-0 lead early on in the first interval only to draw level before the interval. The Blues pressed in the second half and were handed a victory 9 minutes from time as full-back Marcos Alonso was at the right place and time to convert Eden Hazard’s pass after a brilliant build-up with the Sarri’s possession style of football.
Former Leicester city star Savage however gave his own post-match reactions and opinion. Savage believes that the Blues could compete with Manchester city for the league if they can keep hold of their players
“If Chelsea can keep hold of Hazard and Willian,” Savage told BBC Radio 5 Live. “They have a real chance. They’re a good side.”
While Chelsea seems complete with their players, reports have still emerged that Eden Hazard and Marcos Alonso could move to the Spanish capital. The club endured a difficult spell last season and ultimately missing out of the Champions league. Sarri will be hoping to get the team back to that pedigree this season.
