According to ESPN Sports, Chelsea will not permit any of her on loan players currently in Derby County to feature when the lurks horns in the Carabao cup.
The Rams under the guidance of Chelsea Legend Frank Lampard were able to see off Manchester United on penalties in the last round of the Carabao cup to set a meeting with Chelsea at Stamford Bridge- but the Championship side will be without two key players.
Derby were hoping that the Blues could give them clearance to field on loan player Mason Mount and Fikayo Tomori when the meet, but the championship side will not get the desire clearance.
This is because all Blues’ domestic loanees have it stipulated in their contracts that the cannot feature against their parent club, and the West London club see no reason in altering their policy, having denied Hull City in the FA Cup last season.
The absence of Mount will really affected Derby as the youngster seems to be in form in the current season. The youngster has netted three times with an assist in his ten appearance to ensure the Rams are in ninth position.
Frank Lampard will have to make a tactical decision in the absence of the impressive youngster.
