Eden Hazard has clear the air on Chelsea’s focus in the current season. The London club surrendered her unbeaten status last weekend as the lost to rival club Tottenham at Wembley stadium.

Prior to the defeat to Spurs, The Blues maintained a steady state form that saw the side stay unbeaten for 12 games, with the defeat pushing Chelsea to the fourth position with seven points separating them from unbeaten league leaders Manchester City.

Despite the quality of players under Chelsea’s rank and this slim chances of lifting the trophy, Eden Hazard believes that him and his team are focused on a top four finish.

In an interview as reported by Manchester Evening News, the Belgian international said: “We are thinking about finishing in the top four, not to be the champions.

“We know City are not much better than Chelsea but they are better at the moment.

“In what areas are City better? A lot of things: possession; when they have chances, they score; maybe defensively they are better. They have top players.

“Is it due to their consistency as well, winning game after game? Yes, of course. They are in a good momentum since last year and we need to be back like this.”

Eden Hazard will be hoping the Blues return to winning ways in the Premier League when the host local team Fulham at the Bridge.
