Jurgen Kloop reacted to question about the possible replacement of the departed Philippe Coutinho with the Liverpool boss assuring the Liverpool supporters that a lot will happen in the transfer market with two days to deadline approaching. Coutinho departed to Barcelona earlier this month with the Brazilian attacker putting an end to his 5 year spell with the Merseyside team in a transfer amount valued at a whooping £142million. This is the highest transfer amount spent for a Liverpool player by another club with transfer figure overtaking the transfer of Luiz Suarez and Fernando Torres. The departure of the Brazilian player created a vacuum in the Club which was recently observed in the losses to Swansea in the league and West Bromwich albion in the FA cup. The absence of Coutinho was spotted when a lowly Swansea pulled men behind the ball to curtail the trio of Firminho, Mane and Salah in the league. West brom also dominated the middle of the park early on at Anfield suggesting that the Merseyside club missed the services of the Brazilian and will be keen on bringing in adequate replacement before deadline day.

Liverpool’s effort to sign adequate replacement for the Brazilian have been futile as the club have failed to Naby Kieta early on. The Merseyside club have been continually linked with Monaco midfielder Thomas Lemar but no headway have been made for any possible move. The club have only been able to lure Virgil Van Dijk to Anfield in a big money move.

Jurgen Kloop in his press conference on Monday assured fans that possible transfers could still happen with 2 days to deadline remaining with the Liverpool boss also noting that the club will only sign the best replacement for desired position and not out of desperation. The Liverpool
boss ruled Klavan and Lallana out of the tie against Huddersfield town on Tuesday night at the John Smith stadium as the Premier league resumes.
