The fate of Chelsea forwards Olivier Giroud and Alvaro Morata seems to be hanging as Sarri has opted for Belgian playmaker Eden Hazard to lead his attacking line. The Chelsea trainer has stated that Eden Hazard playing a false nine position is crucial for Chelsea after seeing his tactical alteration yield back to back positive impact in two games.

The 27yr old netted once and assisted another as he control proceedings in the first interval. Eden Hazard was almost unplayable at times as they cruised to a comfortable lead after d break.

The player however dropped in the second interval due to fatigue and good organization from the Seagulls back-line. The Belgian playmaker was later removed towards the closing stages of the game with a slight injury.

This was the second time he has been deployed in the role. Eden Hazard was crucial in the position when Chelsea played Manchester City with the former Lille player provided two assist in the tie.

Sarri, who has witnessed his tactical decision yield result was quick to make a statement that is expected to worry Chelsea forwards Alvaro Morata and Olivier Giroud given their roles at Chelsea.

“I think that, for us, he could be very important in this position,” Sarri said about Hazard. “He’s very able to come out and play with his team-mates, he is very able to create spaces.

“Now I think that, in that position, he has to improve in attacking the box.”

Morata was injured for the Blues after picking up a knock in the 2-2 draw over MOL Vidi last weekend, while Giroud had to spend another game sitting on the bench.
