Belgian international Eden Hazard netted twice to ensure Chelsea returned to winning ways on Wednesday night with a 2-1 away victory to Watford. The Belgian international was once again deployed in the number 9 role, but he showed class to grab both his 100 and 101 goal in Blue’s jersey.

Morata has not featured for Chelsea since picking up an injury against Mol Vidi early in December, with media speculating that the Spaniard will be used as a swap deal offer for AC Milan forward Gonzalo Higuain.

However, after a lot of time out on the sidelines, Sarri could present the former Real Madrid forward with yet another chance to prove himself when Chelsea play Crystal Palace.

Sarri has revealed that he could stick with Eden Hazard for that game, based on his post-match conference following the victory at Vicarage road.

“He is able to play in every position. He is playing like a false number nine. He is very able to play in that position, today he scored two goals and I think he made two or three very good assists.

“He is very able to come to play with the team-mates, he is able to make space for team-mates, he is very able in that position, but I think that he can play very well in every position.”

Sarri in the past has proven that he could adapt to any technical alteration dating back to his days at Napoli. The Italian tactician has experimented the false 9 role with Mertens and will not be shy of carrying on the exercise with Hazard.
