The Spanish midfielder has struggled for gametime with the arrival Jorginho and new coach Maurizio Sarri last summer. The former Arsenal and Barcelona midfielder have made only four Premier League appearance with just one start in the league for the Blues.
Fabregas who will be out of contract next summer, is believed to be one of the headlines in the winter window with AC Milan vying for his signature.
Fabregas understand the reality has revealed his displeasure at lack of playtime at Chelsea. The Spaniard made this disclosure in an interview with media handle Daily Mirror.
He said: “I know what my role is. Unfortunately it’s not the one I want.
“I’m keeping it professional as usual. I’m always trying to do my best, in the conditions, playing with the youngsters, playing with the first team, even though this year I still haven’t played with the full, full first team one game.
“But, I’m trying to do what I can. It’s a difficult situation for me, obviously. I’m playing the cups and the Europa League. I don’t give up. I’m not someone who you’ll see complaining or not giving his all because of that.
“I’ll always be there showing my face when needed and if the time comes the time comes. We’ll see what happens.”S
The midfielder has won two Premier League titles since his move to Chelsea FC from FC Barcelona back in the summer of 2014, when Jose Mourinho was in charge at Stamford Bridge.
