The Nigerian U-20 team will know their seeded group stage opponent when the 2018 West African football union completes their draws ahead of the competition.
The competition will be featured in Lome, Togo from the 6th of December to the 16th of December.
Nigerian based on her overall superiority in the region for the U20 category, have been seeded to Group B while Host country Togo takes Group A of the Sub-regional football showpiece.
The Black Satellites of Ghana, Burkina Faso, Niger, Cote d’l voire , Senegal and Benin Republic are the other teams that will be participating in the competition, and will be looking to make a solid impact to boast confidence ahead of the next years U20 African Cup of Nation competition, which could be termed “the big fish” by some players.
The Flying Eagles who will feature in the U20 continental showpiece next year according to report intend to use the WAFU competition as a warm-up showpiece to examine their strengths and weakness.
Paul Aigbogun’s men will also look to make a big impression at the competition to make a big statement ahead of the AFCON.
