Olivier Giroud admits that he is happy with Chelsea, but is yet to rule out a departure in future. The former Arsenal center forward was signed earlier in the year and turned out to be a crucial transfer, as he played a role in Conte’s FA cup success of last season. The Frenchman however, have be relegated to the bench since the arrival of Maurizio Sarri.
The World cup winner remained with the club throughout the summer transfer window, despite interest from several clubs. The early closure of the Premier league window, reduced the chances of the Frenchman from leaving the Blues.
Giroud could depart Chelsea, if the club fails to utilize him and the Frenchman have not ruled out a move away from the club in future despite admitting that he is currently happy.
“I have one more year on my contract and an option for another season”, Giroud told Telefoot. “The club bosses are happy with me, but I do not exclude anything”. “We’ll see”, he added
The Former Arsenal Player have enjoyed only 40 minutes of football in the current league, but reports suggests that he might be deployed in the Europa League.
Chelsea have been placed in Group L in the Europa League, alongside BATE Borisov, Vidi FC and PAOK Salonika.
