Real Madrid have searched for consistency this season but the man behind their European success in 1998 have thrown his support for them. Bayern boss Jupp Heynckes has remained confident that the Los Blancos side will recover from its current woes in time to beat Paris Saint German in the Champions league.
Madrid is currently fourth in the LA Liga table-19 points behind league leaders Barcelona. The La liga side is widely perceived as the under-dogs despite their previous continental domination that saw the Los Blancos side lift the European trophy back to back.

But Heynckes the man that lead Real Madrid to champions league success in his sole time at the club believes the Spanish team has all it takes to eliminate the financially buoyant French giant.
He added that despite the Spanish side is passing through challenges in the league, they should never be written off because of the wealth of experience the Spanish side possess. Heynckes sighted his era at Madrid as an example of what the club can achieve. He recalled when he lifted the Champions league with the club while the club finished fourth in the league.
The Bavaria boss was also quick to sight the cause of their lapses with the departure of Alvaro Morata, Pepe and James Rodriguez shaking the team as there have been no big money move to follow. He also advocated that club should consider a mixture of young and old, experienced and hungry players to stabilize the team.
When asked about the chances of Bayern to lift the trophy the last lifted in 2013, he replied that his team have the desire but the wage difference between the German side and other teams will likely make things difficult for his side. Heynckes concluded that English club will be hard to overcome in the Champions league while sighting their squad depth and performance.
