David Luiz is adapting to life under the Italian tactician at the Bridge after Sarri replaced Antonio Conte last month. The former PSG center back contributed to his own quota on Sunday as Chelsea defeated Newcastle 2-1 to make it three wins from their opening three games.

The Brazilian has been a regular attendant of the Chelsea current team as he has feature in all three of the club’s opening games. The defender struggled for game time after failing out of favor with Antonio Conte last season, but is now playing a vital role for the Blues in the current season.

The 31yr old admits that he is enjoying his time at the club. In an interview with the club’s official website, David Luiz said: “It’s always great to play football, especially after I was out for six or seven months. “I’m enjoying it a lot, we have a great philosophy, a great manager and an amazing spirit in the team so it’s great to be playing. “We are trying to get points at the beginning because as everybody knows it’s a new system and a new philosophy so we are trying to do our best. “It’s not easy to win points in the Premier League so if we can get them now, at the beginning of the season, when we are adapted to the style it’s going to be even better for us.”

Chelsea prepare for another crunch game as Eddie Howe’s Bournemouth side visit this weekend.
