Super Eagles Forward Odion Ighalo has revealed that he will remain with current Chinese club, Changchun Yatai as he has no plans of dumping the relegated club.

Against all odds, Ighalo has decided to stick with the club that gave him the captaincy position as soon as he arrived from Premier League side Watford.

Media reports had it that the Player considered recent challenges down the sideline as well as his advance age which he believes could make it difficult for him to fit into any club at the moment.

Yatai Changchun dropped from the Chinese top flight division despite the 21 goals contributed by the Super Eagles hitman, who also missed the last game of the season due to injuries.

However the Nigerian international has resumed training after returning from the injury, and is making himself available for a longer stay with the relegated club.

A source close to the Nigerian forward has revealed to the media that the former Watford striker will not be making transfer away from the country when the Chinese transfer window reopens by the 4th of January.

Ighalo’s associate affirmed: “Odion is most likely to stay in China, but we just have to wait and see where that will be by the time the transfer window opens again.”
