German and Chelsea central defender Antonio Rudiger believes it would be difficult for Eden Hazard to reach the 40 goal target set by Chelsea trainer Maurizio Sarri in the current football season.
Eden Hazard against Bournemouth broke his 8 games scoreless streak with a goal and an assist but failed to score when the Blues hosted Leicester last weekend.
The Belgium international had netted 8 times with 9 assist to be Chelsea’s top scorer in the current season.
Hazard netted 7 goals in his opening 8 games in the league and this prompted Sarri to challenge him to attain 40 goal mark. However a back injury kept him out of contention and also out of shape.
However with the football carlenda at her midway point, Antonio Rudiger believes it will be difficult for the Belgian to net such figures again.
“He is human, of course he is,” Rudiger is quoted as saying by The Sun.
“But the way he is playing is fantastic, we all know what he is capable of. I am happy that he scored.
“He is a leader. He provides a good example, not by speaking but by showing. He gets kicked often, because he is good.
“With respect to the others, I think in the Premier League they are not stupid players, so to reach 40 goals? Maybe he can do it.
“But what he does is OK. We need to respect the other teams, it’s not like they are bad or something.
“He does not have too much of an ego. If he sees other players standing in a better position, he plays them in.”
