News have it that the two Manchester clubs are battling for Paris Saint Germain starlet Kylian Mbappe, the Sunday Mirror reported that the French giants are ready to cash in on one of their star asset with the fear that they may be hit with Financial fair play violation.
Mbappe who last week created history as the youngest French palyer to score in a world cup tournament, he scored against Peru in their second group game, the young star who join Paris Saint Germain from Monaco last summer on a season long loan with an initial agreement to sign the 19 year old permanent in a staggering contract worth £166m, but according to the Mirror that the French Champions are under investigation of bridging the Financial fair rule, of which if they are found guilty will be fined or face FIFA disciplinary action.
The loan deal comes immediately after they coughed out a total amount of £198m to bring Neymar Jnr. to Paris from Barcelone in a move that has not favoured the two parties.
Recently rumour has it that Real Madrid are sniffing around Neymar to snap him up but it is believed that PSG has vehemently turned down any interest on their main asset, now the question is on what will then happen if they reduce their wage on Mbappe to suit UEFA’s need?.
It has now appeared clearly that Manchester United and Manchester City are sniffing around the player with Manchester United mostly serious to sign the teenage sensation. The Mirror also has it that United had already met with Mbappe’s representatives on the possibility of signing the player and have also met the French giants that they are ready to sacrifice Mbappe’s country man Anthony Martial in exchange, Martial who the Old Trafford side value in the region of £80m.
Since Mbappe is valued by PSG at the total amount of £166m, this meant that United has to cough out the sum of £86m plus Anthony Martial for the young talented player who happens to be Jose Mourinho’s fan.
