The England international has struggled for over a year under Mourinho as he is yet to cement a starting berth at the Old Trafford. Questions have been asked the fate of Marcus Rashford at the theatre of dreams following his inconsistent appearance in Jose Mourinho’s starting lineup. The three lions attacker has started just one game while making two substitute appearance for the Red Devils in the current league season.
Rashford following lack of gametime have been linked with a potential exit from the Manchester club in the winter window, but Sport Analyst Duncan Castle believes that Jose Mourinho is doing everything possible to ensure the youngster remains at the Old Trafford.
In an interview with Transfer Window Podcast, Duncan said: “Mourinho thinks Rashford can turn into a top player mainly because of his mental attitude and willingness to learn on top of the technical attributes that he’s got”. “Rashford still has to prove he can develop into that type of player.”
Rashford who began his Manchester United football career with Louis Van Gaal, netted 8 times in 18 appearances under the Dutch tactician.
The England attacker also lifted the League cup and Europa league trophy under the guidance of Portuguese tactician Jose Mourinho.
