According to reliable Italian news outlet Calciomercato, that Juventus are now favourite to sign Martial. The negotiation for Martial personal terms between his representatives and Juventus is almost done. The reason behind Juventus interest in Anthony Martial is for a possible replacement for Ganzalo Higuain who had seen past his best years. According to Ian McGarry, a transfer expert who believes that Manchester United have slapped a staggering amount of £88million on Martial.

He said (If someone came and offered me Anthony Martial for €100million I would probably laugh, are you serious? Have you looked at how he has played for the past year? He is not worth that amount of money, Martial has a colourful social life which has I think frustrated Jose Mourinho and other people at Manchester United, they feel his focus is not on football. But it’s obvious he is a very talented young man and could be an elite player. He probably needs to move elsewhere to refocus his mind in terms of his contract and find somewhere he can play every week. I just think at that price €100m, it’ll be very hard for Manchester United to find a buyer.)

The report added that there has been no agreement between the two clubs but the Serie A champions are hoping to agree a temporal contract with Martial before meeting United for open negotiations despite the fact they have approach United for the player before.
