The Premier League may be set to lose another of its top player to a La Liga super Power if recent reports emanating from Spain are to be believed.
A top Spanish website has reported that Real Madrid may be set to resurrect their interest in Manchester United goalkeeper, David De Gea. The goal keeper have been the subject of a long standing interest from the Spanish giants and almost joined them in 2015 when failure to file necessary transfer documents scuppered an already agreed £30million deal.
Madrid have been in search of a galactico goalkeeper since the end of Iker Casillas’ era at the club with Keylor Navas not rated highly enough by Club President,Florentino Perez.
De Gea meanwhile has for a long time being considered heir to Casillas’ shirt since he cemented his place as arguably the best shot stopper in the world with strings of fine displays for Manchester United. But any hope of getting him seemingly ended in 2015 due to a lucrative long term deal signed by the Spaniard weeks after his failed move.
Madrid look to have conceded defeat in his pursuit with alternative plans reportedly drawn up.
However Spanish website Don Balon have reported that De Gea may yet move back to the Spanish capital. According to reports on the site, De Gea has reportedly reached out to Madrid to tell them he may be interested in a move after all but only if some conditions were met.
The 26 year has reportedly mandated the club to permanently release Navas as well as to ensure that any bid made to secure him will not be carelessly handled like it was before. If these conditions are met, Perez could get his dream goalkeeper and sign his first galactico since James Rodriguez purchase in 2014.
