Mourinho has been heavily linked with an exit from old Trafford, after the 3-2 loss to Brighton last weekend. The media have projected former Real Madrid boss Zinedine Zidane, as his possible successor. Mourinho’s relationship with both players and management seems to have hit rock bottom as reports have emerged that the Portuguese tactician have lost the dressing room.

The club’s below par statement of intent in the last transfer window seems to have strained his relationship with the club management.

Despite all the speculation, Brian McClair believes that Mourinho should be backed as he is still the manager of the club. According to Manchester Evening News, Brian said: “Whoever is the coach at United is the right person for the job, Jose is doing that the way he wants to”. “The players have to please the coach and the coach has to please the owners, all are still in their posts and they require our support until that situation changes”. “Each and every game is important for a variety of reasons, in order to challenge for titles, you need to win at home and take points from one’s title rivals, and therefore of course it is important to win on Monday evening against Spurs.”

According to reports, majority of the Red Devils’ fan base places the faith of Jose Mourinho as they believe the Portuguese has what it takes to guide them to glory days. They believe the club management failed to secure the right players.
