Red Devils’ supporters have turned their frustration at Alexis Sanchez and Romelu Lukaku following the club’s barren draw with Valencia on Tuesday night.
Manchester United hosted the Spanish club at Old Trafford but failed to grab the desired win, as they were held to a barren stalemate. Jose Mourinho’s team labored throughout the exchange but failed to break Valencia resolve. The closest the Manchester club got was Marcus Rashford’s attempt which hit the woodwork.
Manchester United faithful in the post-match reactions have singled out Lukaku and Sanchez as the underperformers of the fixture. Prior to that the club supporters singled manager Jose Mourinho after 3-1 defeat to West Ham last weekend.
The duo started in attack with Marcus Rashford, but lacked the desired quality to influence proceedings. Sanchez was once again sluggish in possession and was given a boo reception when he made way for Anthony Martial in 76th minute of the game.
Lukaku on the other hand featured for 90 minutes but lacked the precision and sharpness expected of a hitman in the game.
Old Trafford faithful’s however, have voiced their various opinion on Twitter on the below par display from the duo. Some of the supporters criticized their performance while others have insisted that they should be sold.
While Manchester United in overall have failed to live up to expectation, Lukaku and Sanchez have both failed to justify their quality despite being a regular feature in Jose Mourinho’s starting lineup in the current season.
