Manchester United, have reportedly offered Spanish midfielder Juan Mata to Inter Milan. According to Gianluca Di Marzio of Sky Sport Italia, while the Seria A side hopes to bring Modric to Italy, they are keen on adding an attacking midfielder and have been given the chance to sign Juan Mata.

However, reports have it that the Italian are more interested in Monaco’s Keita Balde Diao than in the Spaniard. “The most concrete contacts have been about Keita Balde, a player they pursued while he was at Lazio,” said Di Marzio. “[Antonio] Candreva could be included in a deal with Monaco involving a loan swap, but all the parties involved have yet to give the green light for the completion.”

Mata arrived the theatre of dreams back in 2014 on the back of a glorious 2 and half year at Chelsea. The Spanish international was part of Chelsea’s 2011/2012 champion’s league squad as well as the 2013 Europa league winning team. The Spaniard in his 3 and half years at the theatre of dream have also tested success both at the domestic and continental level.

Mata who is in the twilight period of football career is expected to give way for the younger vibrant players. The Player is believed to have lost his sparks according to Samuel Luckhurst of the Manchester Evening news, though there was optimistic signs at the pre-season games.

Mata is a known to be player who performs better when handed a free role at the middle of the park but might not have the chance considering Jose Mourinho’s philosophy. Mata who is now 30yrs surely needs the free role option as he is no longer as dynamic as he used to be.
