Journalist and Beyond the Pitch Podcaster Pilib De Brun believe the Red Devils needs to land three players in the current window. The Journalist believes that the Old Trafford club needs a right back, Centre midfielder and a central defender.
Manchester United have improved since the axing of Jose Mourinho in December with the Red Devils yet to drop point since his exit. Despite the current form of the Red Devils Brun believes the club must crucial acquisition to ensure the maintain the fine run of form
In his podcast Beyond the Pitch, Brun said: “I think everybody, managers, players, fans, even they were baffled by the approach under Mourinho with the players he had.
“There’s players there that want to attack, there’s pace, there’s real quality, is it a title-challenging team? No, it’s not, we’ll say that.
“There’s still too many flaws, there’s still too many holes there and areas that need improvement, right back needs improvement, hopefully [Diogo] Dalot in future becomes that player, definitely needs another centre back.
“I’d say we need another centre midfielder.”
Manchester United might not bring three players in the current window, but pundit Duncan Stile believes the Manchester club will splash the cash when the right player comes along.
“It would be ironic after Mourinho had gone to war with the club to try and force them to buy in the summer and they’ve refused to reinforce in that position [centre back].
“What I’m hearing is that they are ready to do it for the right player and obviously the big change at Manchester United is they now have control of transfer policy back, so they don’t have to fight with the manger.”
