Manchester united played AC Milan on Wednesday, but they did so without the Anthony Martial who reportedly flew back to England, possibly without authorization as he continues to chase a move away from the Manchester club.

Martial responded that he was leaving for the birth of his child, but Telegraph understood that he gave “late notice” (Times of birth can be difficult to predict) and the Manchester club have “failed to agree or deny whether he received the go ahead order”. The player looks unlikely to rejoin his colleagues on tour, a situation which have been perceived as an avenue for the France international to push for a move away from Old Trafford.

The relationship between Marshall and Mourinho is in its lowest ebb with The Times rendition reportedly describing the strained relationship between the player and his boss to be at breaking point. Mourinho is believed to be unhappy with the recent attitude from the Frenchman while Marshal is believed to have no intention of coming back.

Martial have been on the list of top European clubs with Chelsea, Spurs, Bayern and PSG all vying for his signature, but his departure might prove to be difficult as Jose Mourinho have insisted that the Frenchman won’t be sold to a direct rival.

However United could still allow the Frenchman depart, if the sign Brazilian attacker Willian from Chelsea. The Brazilian remains in Mourinho’s wish list as united is reportedly ready to make a £60m bid according to Tabloids. Chelsea on the other hand have started that they would allow the Brazilian depart only in exchange for the Frenchman.
