The Blues are said to be in a confused state as Thibaut Courtois joined Eden Hazard in making exit talks just few days following former Napoli manager Maurizio Sarri’s appointment as new Chelsea head coach.

Eden Hazard shocked Chelsea fans following his comments immediately after Saturdays World Cup third place win over England, by making it clear of his intention of leaving the London club.

The Belgium skipper Eden Hazard,  has set his heart on a move to the European Champions Real Madrid, but according to news that Barcelona are said to be monitoring the situation as they are also interested in scooping for the winger.

However, his fellow country man and Chelsea teammate Courtois has joined the queue with Hazard hinting on a possible move this summer.

The former Atletico Madrid loanee has been in disagreement with Chelsea over contract extension as he has just one season left on his contract, but Chelsea are willing to go in awarding him a contract extension of about £200,000-per-week for the goalkeeper. And If Thibaut Courtois refuses extending his contract with the Blues, then he would leave for free after next season and it’s a situation Chelsea are trying to avoid.

The Belgium number one choice has made it known on Saturday that the offer Chelsea are giving is below standards after his impressive display at the world cup where he emerged the best goalkeeper of the tournament.

Courtois said, “I will be coming back, for sure, and I will see what they want and how they say it. Obviously with this World Cup, I think what was on the table obviously is different than what I can have, maybe. In this World Cup, I have ignored all the speculation, all the rumours. But now in the next few days I will have a chat with my agent and see what Chelsea told him, and then we will talk. But I feel happy at Chelsea, it’s not that I necessarily want to leave”.

When asked on his take over change of manger at Stamford Bridge, he said “It’s hard to talk about it because I don’t know exactly what happened. But the decision that was made a few days ago, I think as a group we expected that a longer time to happen because we heard what the board said to us already after the season and then it takes until now. I don’t think it’s easy for a new manager to come in and shape us in a few weeks. I think fans need to understand we will need some time to adapt to the new manager and a different style. I know Dries Mertens and he told me really well about Sarri, so I’m looking forward to come back and win some prizes”.

The Belgium keeper revealed that he would see out his final year of his contract if Chelsea fails to tie him down on a new contract.

He said, “People always complain that players don’t comply with their contracts, but maybe they do. I don’t think they will keep someone with my qualities on the bench, even if I don’t sign a new contract. But maybe staying is possible, because I like it in London”.

However, the task is now upon Maurizio Sarri to see how he can control and organize the situation concerning the two Belgium stars.

But Chelsea won’t lose Hazard without a fight and may go as high as asking for a total of £200million for the Belgium skipper who still has 2 years left on his contract.

While speaking after their third place match with England, Hazard said, “After 6 wonderful years at Chelsea it might be time to discover something different. Certainly after this World Cup, I can decide if I want to stay or go, but Chelsea will make the final decision – if they want to let me go. You know my preferred destination.’ Intriguingly, Courtois added: ‘Wherever I go, Eden must follow. We will not let each other go”.

However, it’s yet to be seen if Chelsea will resolve in settling the situation by agreeing to the players terms or forced to sale this summer.
