According to reports, Chelsea boss Maurizio Sarri has already began to make plans for January with interest in Alessio Romagnoli and Mattias Caldara. Calcio Mercato, as quoted by Daily Mail reports that the Chelsea boss has identified the duo as top of his transfer target in the winter window.

Sarri is currently getting used to life at the English capital after replacing Chelsea’s former tactician and fellow countryman Antonio Conte in the summer.

The former Napoli manager lured the likes of Jorginho, Kepa and Kovacic to the Bridge with him, but is keen on reinforcing the side when the January transfer window starts.

The same report however stressed that though the Italian wants to strengthen the club with the desire players, the deal could prove difficult considering the manager of AC Milan who incidentally happens to be Antonio Conte.

Chelsea already enjoys a bright start to the 2018/2019 Premier league season with four victories in their opening games of the season. The Blues currently sit in joint top position with league leaders Liverpool, though separated by goal difference.
