Chelsea centre-forward Alvaro Morata has been linked with a shock departure in January according to reports. Media speculations indicate that Maurizio Sarri is likely to take a decision to move on from the Spanish striker by the winter window, with Dortmund and West Ham in the race for his signature.

According to reports from Transfer Market Web, the centre-forward could likely be sent out on loan in January in a bid to rediscover his best form which have eluded him since his arrival to the London club.

The report also claims that Athletico Madrid, Milan, Borussia Dortmund and West Ham which all were keeping tabs with the player last summer, could now move for the former Juventus and Real Madrid centre-forward once again.

Morata made four consecutive starts for the Blues in their opening league games but failed to impress Maurizio Sarri of his credentials, and this prompted the Italian to drop the Spaniard to the bench in the club’s recent game against Cardiff city. Reports have it that the former Napoli coach might have thrown in the towel on the Spaniard.

Morata has struggled for form since his arrival from Real Madrid to Chelsea in the summer of 2017. The Spanish international has netted just three times since the 2018 year and serious struggling in-front of goal.

Despite his inconsistent nature, Morata remained in the eyes of Seria A teams last summer with former Juventus and AC Milan placing the playing on their rather list.

Morata however, could still be presented with yet another opportunity when Chelsea take on Paok in their opener of their Europa League.
