Mourinho seems to has reverted back to his traditional psychological method getting his favored result ahead of Spurs visit to Old Trafford.
The Manchester club after a disappointing activity in the summer market, begin the league with a victory over Leicester City. The club however slipped to a 3-2 defeat on the road to Brighton in their last league game. The loss however, generated unrest in the media as rifts, criticism from pundit and speculation of managerial changes emerged.
Mourinho has tried to rally all part together ahead of Spurs visit on Monday night. The Portuguese tactician who is not shy of criticizing his own players and supporters, has reverted back to his traditional mind game as a way to cool off pressure and tension. He has reverted to heaping praises on the supporters.
“The supporters were fantastic in both matches. For the team, which is the only thing that matters,” he is quoted as saying by The Daily Star. “I am really happy with the supporters and how they support the team. To be supportive of the team against Brighton, where we didn’t play well and lost the match, it gives you a fantastic feeling. “I hope that feeling, that the players also feel it and that the players they are ready to give them everything they have.”
Mourinho believes that the players can give their best on the pitch but its only the supporters who can elevate their quality. Manchester united will be avoiding a consecutive defeat.
