Mourinho’s future at the Old Trafford remains uncertain among supporters and media, but there are no doubt about him by the Manchester United hierarchy, according to The Guardian. Guardian reports that Mourinho will be back to strengthen the Red Devil’s squad in the January window if the right deals could be reached, with more than £100 million potential available to him.

The Manchester United boss who was frustrated last summer in his search for a defender and forward, but has demanded for huge big money moves when the winter window opens. His demands is likely to be approved should a player who could improve the squad becomes readily available.

It adds that although he had been interested in Leicester’s Harry Maguire and Bayern Munich’s Jerome Boateng, moves did not materialise “because the board did not believe that either was an upgrade” on the defenders already at Old Trafford.

However the Mirror reveals that the Red Devils are shock favorites to land former Manchester City player Jadon Sancho from Dortmund, the youngster continues to attract buyers all over the world.

Sancho has produced superb performance since his arrival to the Bundesliga, and this has recently earned him a recall to the English national team.

The Mirror says that despite City having a buy-back clause in the deal that took Sancho to BVB, United are the likeliest leaders in any race for the 18-year-old.
