Alex Iwobi must improve his game to secure his spot with the Gunners. According to Mirror, Nigerian attacker amidst interest from Lazio recently extended his contract with Arsenal in a deal that will keep him at the club till 2022.

The Nigerian is expected to be deployed in the right wing of the position when the new season kicks off, but the consistency level of the player presents the problem footballtransfertavern reports. The Nigerian player no doubt has the technical and physical quality, but his consistency have always posed problems as he have failed to live up to expectations in matches.

This inconsistency from the Nigerian attacker, is believed to be the sole reason the North London have been linked with Bayern Munich’s Kingsley Coman in the current transfer window.

Having dazzled during his teenage days at the club’s academy, Iwobi broke into Arsenal’s first-team three seasons ago and was promising. The following two seasons, Iwobi turned himself into a regular part of the first-team and featured 26 times in the league in each of the last two seasons.

While he seems crucial to the team, in truth, the winger has not developed since 2013. This is believed to have been due to his inability to secure a regular position to build on in the club within his 3 yr stint.

The Nigerian footballer who failed to live up to the hype in the World cup will be hoping to get things right under Unai Emery when the Premier kicks-off by August.
