The Former Manchester united defender remains confident that World cup winner Paul Pogba will remain at the Old Trafford despite immense interest from Barcelona. Pogba have been a subject to speculation since last week with reports linking him to a move to the Camp Nou with less than three weeks left to the closure of the European transfer window but West Brown sees him as a Manchester united player.
Paul Pogba have failed to replicate his Juve form since his arrival to the theatre of dreams 2 years ago and this believed to have strained his relationship with club manager Jose Mourinho.
Brown however doubt whether the Manchester club will easily sell off the player they invest a staggering £89 Million barely two years ago. The former defender in his interview with Daily Star said: “Pogba will be staying. “He’s a Manchester United player. He was captain on Friday, scored a penalty, had a great World Cup and I’m hoping that he just keeps that going and has a fantastic season for United. “Maybe he’ll be given a bit more freedom this season, especially with Fred there now and still [Nemanja] Matic to come in. “Fred looks like to get around the pitch, it looks like he likes defending so that may mean Pogba can advance a little bit.
“We’ll just have to see, it’s a bit early at the moment to see how that plays or whether he does become more attacking or if he’s more defensive.”
Pogba dazzled in the league opener as Manchester united won Leicester city 2-1. Jose Mourinho praised him in his post-match interview with the media.
