Paul Pogba and Manchester united saga seems have taken a new twist, as the club have paused contract extension talks with the player. The player whose relationship with club tactician Jose Mourinho, is believed to be breaking point due to his below par performance at the club.
The Frenchman have never shown his desire to quell the speculations, when asked about his relationship with the Portuguese tactician.
He said: “There was a lot of talk (about a move to Barca), but it was just like that”. “I’m under contract in Manchester. My future is currently in Manchester, I still have a contract. “I’m playing there at the moment, but who knows what will happen in the next few months?
When asked about his relationship with Mourinho, Pogba admitted it was strictly professional.
He added: “We have a pure coach-player relationship, that’s right. “One thing I can assure you, I will always give 100 percent. No matter which coach I always give everything for United – I cannot say more.”
Manchester United management wants to extend his stay at the club with Barcelona lurking around. The World cup winner has just spent 2yrs out of his 5 years with the Red Devils.
According to ESPN, the player’s inaction and action in past week have seen negotiators pull out of talks due to speculations. Mino Raiola still have a say in deals with the Frenchman but ESPN was meant to understand that the decision was due to the option of a year extension currently in the contract of the World cup winner.
Reports have it that talks were fixed with September but have been shifted indefinitely.
Pogba currently will not consider Barcelona unless the Catalonia club makes an offer next summer
