Roberto Assis confirmed the retirement of the legendary Brazilian playmaker Ronaldinho yesterday with the 37 years putting to bed his football career after 20 years of service.

This became official as Assis notified O Globo about the decision of the legendary Brazilian players whose major laurels included the 2002 world cup, the champion’s league with Fc Barcelona in 2005-06 season and the Ballon d’or award in 2005. Assis also gave a hint about his possible testimonial game falling after the world cup probably in the month of august as with other events covering Brazil, Europe, Asia and Possibly the National team.

The Brazilian have not played a professional game since parting ways with Brazilian side Fluminense in 2016.The Brazilian was able to cut across Europe in football career by playing for Paris Saint German, Barcelona and Ac Milan within the course of his football career.

The world and all football loving fans will certainly miss the iconic Brazilian playmaker for his renowned for shock 2002 world cup goal against England, Individual brilliance and dribbling prowess in the dominant era of Frank Rijkaard’s Barcelona.  Football has really lost a rare germ with the departure of the Brazilian.
