Chelsea are reportedly planning to improve the terms and Agreement of German international Antonio Rudiger, after he cemented his place as a central defender in Chelsea’s starting lineup.

The former Roma defender still has three years left of his current deal with a weekly wage of £100,000, but however plans to sit down with Rudiger’s representatives over a lucrative extension are in the pipeline.

Rudiger has established himself as a reliable central defender in Maurizio Sarri’s Chelsea team, where he partners with Brazilian international David Luiz. Chelsea observing the German players excellent contribution to their overall performance, have decided to hand him a pay-rise.

The London club failed to commit Thaibaut Courtois last and this eventually lead them to lose the Belgian shot-stopper to Real Madrid. Chelsea currently feels exposed after failing to tie down starman Eden Hazard to a new deal.

Eden Hazard has 18 months left of his current Chelsea deal and could potentially depart on Bosman terms if Chelsea fails to commit him within the given timeframe.

Chelsea will be looking to avoid such mishap with Rudiger, who is fast becoming an integral player in the Chelsea team.
