Ronaldo put to end his 9 year spell in the Spanish capital, by joining Seria A champions Juventus in a record breaking deal for a 33yr old. It cost the Old lady a staggering €110 million to bring him to Turin and €30 million per season contract for a period of four years.
Despite the heavy price tag, Ronaldo is yet to score for the Old Lady despite playing full 90 minutes in the clubs opening two games in the Italian top fight division. The Portuguese was present in the 5 goal thriller at Chievo at the opening day of the season as well as the 2-0 victory over Lazio at Turin.
Ronaldo’s goal drought have attracted both media and player attention with Roma’s forward El Shaaraway providing an explanation as why the Portuguese playmaker is yet to begin his goal feast in Italy.
“Juventus is stronger than last year, it will be difficult to keep up the pace. They have important alternatives. We have to do our best in the championship without thinking too much about them. We think about winning, then we will see.”
“Ronaldo still dry? The Italian defenses are more difficult to overcome than in other tournaments. He was also unlucky, we saw his talent in the two matches, and he could have scored a goal.”
