The Super Eagles team of Nigeria and the Pharaohs of Egyp according to Completesportsnigeria.com will meet in a friendly game on the 26th of March, 2019. The venue of the friendly fixture is however yet to be fixed.

The encounter comes up three days after Nigeria’s last game of the 2019 African Cup of Nations qualifying round against Seychelles.

The Nigeria Football Federation made the confirmation of the fixture in their twitter handle on Thursday.

“The Egyptian Football Federation has received approval from Nigeria for a friendly match between the two countries in Nigeria on March 26 during the international window, which will also see the last national team qualifiers against Niger in Niamey between March 22 and 24,” EFF wrote on Twitter.

The Nigeria team secured their spot for the 2019 African Cup of Nation after grabbing a 1-1 draw against Bafana Bafana team of South Africa in Johannesburg back in November.

History has it that the Pharaohs defeated the Super Eagles 1-0 the last time they met in a friendly march in 2016. The North African side to have also secured a place to the continental showpiece.
