According to a report, Chelsea shot-stopper Thibaut Courtois is prepared to depart the club as free agent if not sold off in the current window. According to media outlet Daily Mail, the Belgian goalkeeper have it clear to the London club that he wants to leave in the current window.

Thibaut Courtois according to report, have refused to extend his deal with the London based outfit despite many offers as his mind seems made up for an eventual switch with the Spanish capital as his location.

Chelsea on the other hand have responded that the Belgian international will only depart when a suitable replacement have been acquired.

Courtois who returned back to Chelsea after loan spells with Spanish outfit Athletico Madrid, have lifted the Premier league trophy twice while F.A cup once in his four year stay at the bridge.

Prior to the return to Chelsea, the Belgium international spent 3 years with Athletico where he lifted the Europa league, Spanish league, Copa deh rey and Super cup. The Belgium international missed out on narrowly missed out to rivals Real Madrid in the 2014 Champions league.

The Blues finished fifth in the Premier league standing of last season, as they failed to secure champion’s league spot and this is also rumored to be the reason for Courtois exit demand as the Belgian shot-stopper who eyes continental glory with Madrid.

The blues play rivals Manchester city this weekend in the F.A charity shield.
