1. Eagles Will Miss Ndidi – Rohr

On the back of three consecutive wins, the Super Eagles sit at the summit of their Africa Cup of Nations qualifying group E table and even a point from their last two games will see them qualify for next year’s tournament in Cameroon.

“Unfortunately we will miss Wilfred Ndidi, who is one of our strongest players. ‘He is a very important player for us, but we will try to make the strongest selection, which is always based on the form of our players”.

2. Nigeria: Mikel Scores As Tianjin Teda Fall At Home

John Obi Mikel was on target for his club Tianjin Teda lost 2-4 at home to Shanghai Shenhua in the Chinese Super League yesterday.

The Super Eagles captain who has been absence in two international games was playing his 18th match of the season, but he couldn’t save his club as Shanghai opened scoring in the 14th minute.

3. Former Germany captain hails Gernot Rohr

Former FIFA world player of the year has praised the executives of the Nigerian Football Federation for retaining Coach Gernot Rohr despite the Eagles’ unconvincing performance at the last FIFA World Cup, positing that with continuity the team can reach their potential as one of the best in the world, footballlive.com.ng reports.

Despite an unimpressive World Cup in Russia, Rohr has rekindled Nigeria’s chances of playing in its first AFCON in five years after back to back wins against Libya and another against Seychelles which has seen the Eagles sour to the top of Group E, needing just one point to seal qualification to next year’s AFCON in Cameroon.

4. NIGERIA’S OLA AINA LOOKING FORWARD TO FACING SOUTH AFRICA

Nigerian defender Ola Aina says he is looking forward to facing South Africa in next month’s 2019 Africa Cup of Nations qualifier in Johannesburg.

The teams will meet in a Group E clash at the FNB Stadium on November 17, with the Super Eagles looking to avenge their surprise 2-0 loss at home to Bafana Bafana in Uyo in June 2017.

5. Ndidi, Iheanacho and Musa join millions in mourning Leicester City chairman

Vircha was one of the five people killed when the accident occurred just an hour after the club’s draw at home to West Ham united. The helicopter owned by the Thai billionaire crashed near a car park just around the king power stadium shortly after taking off from the pitch around 8:20pm.
