1. Onyekuru, Ebuehi To Clash In Europa League

Footballlive.ng reports that Onyekuru got the better of Brian Idowu’s Lokomotiv Moscow of Russia during the group stage of the UEFA Champions League, but fell to Chidozie Awaziem’s FC Porto, and now facs another tough tussle with Ebuhi’s Benfica of Portugal.

This follows the round of 32 draw on Monday for Europe’s second-tier clubs’ competition, for which Onyekuru’s Istanbul-based Turkish Super Lig club qualified after finishing third in their UCL group.

2. Ofoborh: I Must Keep Working Much Harder

Bournemouth midfielder, Nnamdi Ofoborh says he is happy to sign a new deal with the club, but admits it is a call for him to work even harder, in order to justify the contract extension.

The 19-year-old, who signed his first professional deal in the summer, last week earned a new contract which will keep him at Vitality Stadium until 2021.

Veteran coach Godfery Esu is putting the blame of the two defeats suffered by Nigerian national teams at the hands of Senegal on the Nigeria Football Federation (NFF).

Nigeria’s Supersand Eagles were humiliated 6-1 by their Senegalese counterparts in the final of the CAF Beach soccer in Egypt a few days ago. And on Sunday, the nation’s U-20 side, the Flying Eagles, lost 2-0 to Senegal in the final of the 2018 U-20 WAFU Cup at the Stade Municipal de Lome, Togo.
