Chelsea according to media reports have turned to Bournemouth forward Callum Wilson as the transfer window nears. The London club have been linked with a host of strikers with Inter Milan’s Mario Icardi, Genoa striker Krzysztof Piatek, but the Blues are unlikely to acquire such centre-forwards during the January window.

Betting website Betway have placed Bournemouth target man Callum Wilson likely to join the Stamford Bridge outfits. Betway’s Alan Alger said: “It could be all change at Chelsea with Callum Wilson 3/1 to join the Blues from Bournemouth.”

The arrival of the player could lead to the departure of either Morata or Giroud as Maurizio Sarri favours the 4-3-3 formation which has only space for one strikers with two supporting wingers.

Both players have impressed in recent times, but none have been able to convince Maurizio Sarri of his credential in leading his Chelsea attacking line, and this has been a problem with the club.

Chelsea have lost two games in the current league season and looks out of touch in the title race with 10 points separating the club and league leaders Manchester city.

The Cherries ace notched his eighth of the campaign against Huddersfield on Tuesday night and has also weighed in with five assists.
