Manchester United hierarchy has approached in form star Anthony Martial and first choice goalkeeper David De Gea for the contract extension but both deals seems to be stalling.

De Gea’s contract with Manchester United expires next summer with the Spanish international likely to leave on free transferrin the event that he refused to extend his services. Martial on the other hand is yet to commit his future to Manchester united.

De Gea has formally stated that he is more concern with the club’s activity on the pitch of play rather than contract issue. Martial has not issued a statement but his rift with Jose Mourinho last summer has prompted the media to believe that he could seek for a move away from the club.

Despite various direct and indirect reason stalling the two contract extension offers, Mirror have reported that the both deals are been affected by the bumper deal offered to Alexis Sanchez. Mirror went further to state that the agents of the duo are using the weekly £400,000 wages paid to Alexis Sanchez as a basic guide for their negotiations.

De Gea has hinted that he could consider committing his future to the Manchester club if he is being paid £300,000 a week amidst interest from Juventus.

Meanwhile, the Old Trafford club is willing to double Anthony Martial’s weekly wage which stands at £70,000 in a bid to wade off interest from PSG.
