Lazio have refused to give up on their interest in Chelsea right-back Davide Zappercosta with Chelsea willing to allow a loan move.
Zappercosta have made two substitute appearance for Chelsea in the current Premier League as he has failed to give Ceasar Azplicueta a tough fight. The Italian who lack game time is keen on leaving the London club the current window.
Despite his setbacks at Chelsea, Zappercosta remains a high profile talent in Italy and Lazio is already making moves to bring him back to Italian league through the loan option.
Chelsea, however insist that the loan option must be followed by an obligatory transfer, while Lazio has only been willing to reserve the option to buy.
And according to Italian daily Il Messaggero, an agreement is inching closer as Chelsea are moving more towards the kind of deal Lazio want to sign Zappacosta on in January.
With Lazio reportedly prepared to bear 100 per cent of the player’s wages, Chelsea are now ready to allow Zappacosta to move to the Stadio Olimpico on a loan deal with the Italian club only reserving an option to buy him.
Lazio is believed to be constantly in talks with the player’s agent in a bid to formulate a deal that will serve both parties.
