According to media reports, Manchester United would have to wait till the summer if the hope to actualize their ambitions of signing Napoli defender Kalidou Koulibaly.

The Manchester based football outfit have been keen on landing the Senegalese international with the defender believed to be topping their wish list. The Red Devils even placed a bid of £80 million pounds which was rebuffed by Napoli President De Laurentis. A racism allegation involving Koulibaly during the festive period in Napoli’s clash against Inter seemed to have given the Old Trafford club a boast in their chase for the defender.

However the Seria A based club have refused to allow their player depart for Old Trafford in the current transfer window despite several bids and talks with the Manchester club, insisting that they would only allow the Senegalese defender to depart the club in the summer, and it remains to be seen whether the Red Devils will wait till the summer to sign their dream central defender.

The Manchester club according to ESPN also considers Milan Skriniar from Inter, Alessio Romagnoli from AC Milan and Leicester City’s Harry Maguire as well as Milenkovic as alternatives in the current window.
