Seria A side AC Milan is reported be offering Manchester United’s central defender Eric Baily an escape route. Baily’s performance in the current season has been devoid of expectation, with the Ivorian struggling to come to terms with the evolving Premier League.
Baily has not featured for Manchester United since being substituted in the 19th minute of the Red Devils 3-2 comeback win over Newcastle in October, with the Red Devils down by two goals then.
Jose Mourinho has made no secret about his displeasure with his back line. The former Chelsea tactician in his recent press statement criticized his defense after a horror show in the first half of the 2-1 victory over Bournemouth, and is likely to bring in defenders when the transfer window kicks off in January.
Baily is believed to be happy at Old Trafford, but ESPN speculates that the Ivorian international fears that he might have lost the faith of his manager.
A number of club’s have placed him on their radar with AC Milan reportedly joining in the race for his signature.
Baily’s term of agreement with the Manchester club ends in the summer of 2020, but the Manchester club is yet to begin talks for contract extension.
